NEW CELLULAR TANK MONITOR
ELIMINATES
NEED FOR PHONE LINE
Quicksilver Expands Centeron’s Capabilities
MARYVILLE, TN – October 2004 – As the Centeron Wireless Tank Monitoring System makes its way across the fuel and lubricant industry, Robertshaw continues to focus on its customers by expanding the product line to meet their needs. The newest Centeron tank monitor is Quicksilver®. Quicksilver is a cellular based, battery powered monitor that communicates directly with the Centeron Data Center. No phone landline or external power source is needed for operation. Just put it in the tank, turn it on, and its immediately communicating with the Centeron Data Center. Quicksilver is the ideal solution for remote tanks that are located beyond the radio range of traditional Centeron Monitors.
“Quicksilver is a great complement to the Robertshaw Centeron product line,” stated David Cahill, Director of Centeron Products. “Many of our customers need to remotely monitor tanks that are located in areas where there is no phone line or power source. This new monitor is the answer for these applications, and its easy installation and ease of use is in the Centeron tradition.”
Quicksilver can be used on most tanks that are within range of a cellular tower. The monitor can be configured to measure and report tank level to the Data Center at whatever frequency is needed. You get accurate, up-to-date information any time of day, multiple times per day, per week or per month. The monitor set-up can be customized for the specific level of awareness that makes sense for your particular application.
With Quicksilver you can customize set points to send an immediate alert if the tank level becomes critical. Send an alarm via email, text message, or fax. Quicksilver gives you the ability to run your business with maximum efficiency. It tells you when a delivery or pickup is needed, so tanks never run out or overfill. Costly emergency runs and unnecessary stops are eliminated. You can stop worrying about the high cost of servicing remote tanks because you always know when they need attention.
The Quicksilver Monitor is also equipped with an unauthorized usage alert feature. Through the Centeron Data Center, you enter a window of time when the tank level should not fluctuate. If unauthorized use occurs during this time period and the tank level rises or falls, the monitor immediately notifies the Data Center and an alert is sent to the appropriate individual. This feature is ideal for detecting and preventing theft or unauthorized fills in unmanned, remote tanks.
Just the Facts
The Quicksilver Monitor transmits tank level information to the Centeron Data Center using cellular technology. It requires no external power supply or telephone line. The UL 50 Type 3 environmentally sealed enclosure provides protection in all weather conditions. Its integral 1 and 2 inch threads makes installation easy and fast with no need for extra mounting hardware. Just install it, turn it on, and in a couple of minutes you receive a text message on your cell phone that confirms a successful installation.
